Five Burgess Mee lawyers have been recognised once again for their advice to HNW and UHNW individuals in complex family matters in Spear's Family Law Index, published today.

Senior Partners Peter Burgess and Antonia Mee are “top recommended” whilst partner Rachel Freeman, legal director Emma Morris and Victoria Sterritt are “recommended” in the list of the best family lawyers to advise on high-value divorces, cohabitation disputes, child arrangements issues, nuptial agreements and mediation.

The index, which is based on peer nominations, client feedback, interviews and market research, is designed to help Spear’s global audience identify the leading specialists operating at the highest level of family law and related advisory services.

According to Spear’s: “What now distinguishes a leading family lawyer is judgement: knowing which cases to settle and which to fight. It shows in the agreement signed long before a marriage falters, in the divorce concluded without a line in the press, and, where there are children, in two parents left able to raise them once the lawyers have gone. It is that judgement, more than any reported win, that the advisers in this year’s Index are known for.”
