About Rebecca

Becky joined Burgess Mee in August 2022 as a paralegal in both the Family and Private Client departments. She became a trainee solicitor in March 2023.

Becky completed her LLM Legal Practice Course at BPP in Holborn, in which she was awarded a distinction and scholarship. While studying, she worked as both a Student Advisor in the Family team and a Student Assistant in the wider team. She has gained experience in all areas of family law, including advising in matrimonial finances, children and divorce.

Becky studied Law at the University of York, completing her dissertation on the UK’s birth registration system, particularly the McConnell judgments, in which she was awarded a first class.

Becky is a member of Resolution, an organisation for family lawyers which promotes a constructive and non-confrontational approach to family law cases.

Outside work, Becky is a competitive netball player, training and playing three times a week. She also enjoys reading and being a member of the firm’s book club.

Rebecca Allen is a leading light in family law and has a very bright future. Her agile and strategic mind, coupled with an innate kindness, make her the perfect balance for such an emotive area of the law. Rebecca is a natural team player and worked with me, not for me, providing the most relevant, up to date legal advice I required to make the right decisions to protect my children's future. Rebecca is an asset to the families she works with and to her firm. I have no doubt over the next few years Rebecca will quietly flourish into the powerful lawyer she is destined to be.
