Summer recently moved to London from New Zealand, bringing three years of experience working exclusively in family law in Auckland. She worked as a Solicitor in a leading first-tier family and relationship property team in Auckland, as ranked by the Doyles Guide, where she advised clients on a broad range of complex family law matters, including matters relating to children, family violence, spousal maintenance and relationship property. She appeared in the Family Court of New Zealand as both sole and junior counsel.
Summer completed a conjoint Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Economics) at the University of Otago in Dunedin in 2022, before being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in Auckland in 2023. Outside of work, Summer served as a committee member of the Auckland Women's Lawyers' Association, where she assisted with drafting open letters to the New Zealand Parliament advocating for law reform, collecting data from law firms on their parental leave policies and the progression of women employees with the findings presented in an accessible online survey, and organising networking events for women in the legal profession.
Summer is enjoying life in London and spends her free time exploring the city's many coffee shops and restaurants.
